As California continues to move through the drought, water is becoming increasingly scarce and water theft is on the rise in surrounding areas. CSD Staff cannot always monitor the entire service area, we are asking our customers to become a part of the solution and report suspicious behavior.
Tampering with the water or sewer system, water meter or fire hydrant is a crime.
If you suspect suspicious behavior call CSD to make a report. Please write down a description of the truck and the person(s) taking water, time, date, and license number. These details will help the District work effectively with local law enforcement.
CSD does permit some water trucks to use the hydrant in front of Fire Station #68 on Hartmann Road. Those water clients are equipped with a CSD meter to legally purchase water from the District.
