Board of Directors Elections Procedure

The Hidden Valley Lake Community Services District Board of Directors is an elected body that serves  the community through a public election process administered by the Lake County Registrar of Voters. Board members are chosen by district voters during regularly scheduled elections to represent the interests of the community and provide policy direction for the District.

The District works in coordination with Lake County to ensure all election procedures—including candidate filing, voter information, and ballot preparation—are conducted in accordance with California election laws. Interested candidates must meet eligibility requirements and complete the appropriate filing forms within the official nomination period established by the County.

Candidate filing periods and election timelines are set by the County, and prospective candidates are encouraged to review all materials provided by the Registrar of Voters to understand the process, deadlines, and requirements.

The District is committed to transparency and encourages community members to participate in the electoral process—whether by voting, running for office, or staying informed about upcoming election opportunities.

The Hidden Valley Lake Community Services District Board of Directors serve a four year term. No director of the District shall serve as a director on any other Board of Directors that could be looked upon as a conflict of interest (I.e., The Hidden Valley Lake Association.)
